Geography

Hello, this is Erin. Greetings from East Village. It's that time again for the band to return to their studies at their respective Universities. I'm now living in New York to attend NYU, while Chris and Nish are in Ann Arbor at UofM, and Zito is in Lansing at MSU.

But thankfully, for my own sanity, this separation does not mean the band will not be

busy. We have a show coming up on September 25th at the Blind Pig for Mason Proper's CD Release Show. It's going to be a riot. Not really, but a fight may break out among people waiting in line to get free copies of MP's new record (pictured at the right). It sounds really damn good. Pre-order it today from Insound if you can't make it to the show.

Anyways, expect to be hearing more from us. We still have an album sitting on the backburner and intentions to continue gigging in the meantime. (Be on the lookout for a show at The Majestic (Detroit) and The Knitting Factory (New York)!)

              Best,

                     Erin

The Novel Blog

Greetings. We are moving from our residence at www.thenovelcitizen.com to the new and sufficiently accommodating www.thenovelcitizen.blogspot.com. The ease of blogging ought to make the new site remain much more up to date than the old one.

It's been a hectic summer so far. We've had our highs and our lows, but we've emerged from all of these bizarre happenings with a new lineup and, based on what I feel, a new sort of positive energy.

We did a handful of shows throughout June in the midst of Jeff leaving the band and Nish stepping in on drums. Our performance on 101.9 (WDET) can be heard/downloaded here: www.4shared.com/file/53012796 and keep checking back at that link for more free music. We're currently working on finishing our first full-length album and so far we're pretty proud of what we've come up with. We hope everyone enjoys it once it's finished.
